Bonso Aboretum
Eastern Region , off the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
Discover the beauty of Bunso Arboretum. This is 6.5 hectare protected forest reserve, which is home too over 110 spicies of birds, butterflies, different kinds of herbs and indigenous tress. Other fruits, nuts and timber trees. Other fruits, nuts, and timber tree species, which have been introduced to Ghana can also be found here. The aboretum is haven for bird watching.

. Go on tour o the Arboretum, and learn about the different uses of plants and trees.
. Have a picnic in the arboretum with friends and family.
. Learn about the cocoa crop at the nearby Cocoa research Institute at Tafo.
. Stay overnight in the idylic guesthouse in the Arboretum
. Bunso is 120 km north of Accra, 150 km south of Kumasi and 30 km west of Koforidua. From the Accra-Kumasi Road, turn onto the tarred rBunso has a pleasant and interesting guesthouse built as a home in 1937 by the first manager of the arboretum. It has 4 self-contained rooms. oad toward Koforidua at the Linda D’Or Restaurant and drive 4 km to Bunso on the right. For public transportation, take a trotro from Accra or Kumasi and ask to be dropped off at the Bunso junction. Take a taxi or walk the 4 km to Bunso.
