Kpetoe is a Kente weaving village within the Agotime Traditional Each kente parthern is unique and has a name and social significance.
Agbamevoza a special Kente festival, which is annual celebration, to showcases the richness of the Ewe culture and the various colourful designs rea in the Volta Region of Ghana.
Currently, tourists, anthropologists and Kente lovers visit Kpetoe to satisfy their quest for the latest Kente artistry. There are other local crafts like carvings and pottery that you could send home as souvenirs as you visit this wonderful community.
Activities
- As you visit the town you can have the opportunity of sitting behind a loom and learning how to weave the cloth. Home stays are available for those who would want to experience the family life of the people.
- Guesthouses and decent lodges are available. Communication services are available. Food and drinks are sold in restaurants and bars.
- There are no challenges getting in and out of Kpetoe, as it is located on the main highway from Ho to Aflao (Togo border). It is easy to catch public transport from Ho to Kpetoe. It is about 20 minutes drive from Ho.
