About the Village
Cocoa is a very important cash crop in the southern Ghana and it ranks among the top 3 foreign exchange earners for the national economy. Ghana’s cocoa is known as the world's premium cocoa due to this unique characteristics resulting from the careful handing by farmers through the pod breaking, fermentation and drying processes. Visitors to Adjeikrom have the opportunity to tour rural cocoa farms and learn how cocoa is grown, maintained, harvested, fermented and dried.
Histroically, the village is of political significance as it is birthplace of one of Ghanan freedom fighters, member of the big six called Ako Adjei.Ghana's first persident used to come to this village with Dr. Ako Ajei and others to strategize the fight for independence. The Village is also imique becauses the inhabtiata are Ga But the areais part of Akim Abuakwa, This is becauese the landowners purchased the land from Akim and do not owe allegiance to Abuakwa state. it is a very rare independant community within Akim land.

- Take the cocoa farms tour to see the way in which cocoa is farmed and harvested

- Take a bird and butterfly watching tour. Time: 1 hour . Difficulty:1
- Enjoy evening dancing, drumming and stroytelling presented by a village cultural troop
